Patexia seeks prior art regarding the serial ATA specification.

Three documents are requested:

  1. a presentation from the Intel Developer Forum, Fall 2001 that describes the final serial ATA specification
  2. the final serial ATA 1.0 specification from August 2001 that was publicly available on May 2002 or earlier
  3. the final serial ATA 1.0 specification from April 2002 that was publicly available on May 2002 or earlier

The final specifications may include revisions to the SATA 1.0 specification, as long as they include the final specifications from either August 2001 or April 2002, and the document describing those versions was publicly available on May 2002 or earlier.

Do not post any confidential information on this website. Confidential documentation or documents not otherwise publicly available will be immediately disqualified and will not be considered.

This is a Prior Art Search contest aimed at determining if a patent idea was known and publicly available before a patent was filed.

  • the earliest submission of each requested and not otherwise submitted document will be designated as a winner and receive $500 per qualified document
