Agilent technology assists university in research

Agilent Technologies announced today that Budapest Technology University successfully conducted research after installing Agilent's  SuperNova diffractometer in the university's new Biostruct laboratory. The diffractometer is designed for crystallography for both chemistry and biology. By combining the latest micro-focus X-ray tube technology and special multilayer X-ray optics, a Nova X-ray source is available that can produce high-quality data even for crystals that are weakly diffracted. The diffractor system is compact and needs little maintenance, making it ideal for any laboratory and other facilities. The University attributes their rapid three month first study accomplishments, consisting of analyzing structures of enzymes that are associated with severe diseases, to the technologies of Agilent's diffractometer.
