HP shifts gears with Bill Veghte appointment to chief strategy officer

HP has made a fundamental shift that will redefine how its technology will be delivered. Bill Veghte, who joined HP in 2010, has been appointed as chief strategy officer. In a rapidly changing world, his new role will reaffirm HP’s commitment to provide its customers with the latest platforms, products and services. His main responsibility will include keeping HP competitive with other innovators and to work with senior business and technology leaders to help define the IT industry future. In addition to helping redirect the company’s strategy, Veghte will continue to serve in his current role as executive vice president of HP software and will lead its cloud and webOS open source initiatives.
