Microsoft Granted a Patent for Emotion-Sensing Glasses

Earlier this week Microsoft was granted US Patent 9,019,174 for a "wearable emotion detection and feedback system." The application, which was originally filed in October 2012, discloses a device that will use cameras to detect subtle variations in a person's demeanor, such as speech rhythm, speed of gestures, and posture, to draw conclusions about a person's emotional state.
