VIDEO - Autonomous military shuttle returns home

Fifteen months ago, the Boeing-manufactured X-37B orbital shuttle departed on a 270 day mission. The military was ambiguous about the mission, to "test new space technologies," and extended the mission far beyond it's original schedule. On Saturday, after more than 460 days, the mysterious shuttle returned to Vanderberg Air Force Base. The second design in the X-37 line, the "B" has a payload bay approximately the size of a pickup truck's bed. The vehicle was able to land fully autonomously.
