Mar 21, 2023 39 MINUTE entry before the Honorable Jeffrey T. Gilbert: Telephone motion hearing held on 3/21/23. The parties' Joint Motion for Entry of Agreed Protective Order 37 is denied for the reasons stated on the record. The parties' next status report is due to be filed on 3/30/23 36 . In addition to the topics outlined in the Court's order of 1/25/23 36 , that status report also shall state what, if any, information the parties believe is necessary for them to exchange, either by way of formal discovery or informally, to facilitate productive settlement discussions or a productive settlement conference, if the parties believe settlement is a realistic possibility in this case. Mailed notice (ber, ) (Entered: 03/21/2023) (1)
Mar 17, 2023 38 MINUTE entry before the Honorable Jeffrey T. Gilbert: The parties' Joint Motion for Entry of Agreed Protective Order 37 is set for a telephone hearing on 3/21/23 at 10:15 a.m. The Court is concerned that the parties' proposed confidentiality order, though agreed, sweeps within the "attorneys' eyes only" category a wide swath of information and documents which, if utilized extensively in the future, could result in disputes that will delay discovery and require court intervention. That is why the information the parties have defined as "attorneys' eyes only" in their proposed order usually is denominated simply as "confidential." The call-in number for the hearing is 650-479-3207 and the access code is 180 946 2499#. Press # to bypass the Attendee ID number. Persons granted remote access to proceedings are reminded of the general prohibition against photographing, recording, and rebroadcasting of court proceedings. Violation of these prohibitions may result in sanctions, including removal of court issued media credentials, restricted entry to future hearings, denial of entry to future hearings, or any other sanctions deemed necessary by the Court.
