Biography Information
I’m chemical engineer with master degree on intellectual property and innovation. I work for companies in different fields, but with the main activities focused on intellectual property and innovation.
During the graduation I work in companies which act in the area of alternatives on electric energy generation, cement and innovation management consulting. In the last year of graduation and the following four years I work in the innovation and intellectual property area of one of the research and development centers of the second largest mining company in the world: Vale S.A. After that I start working for the Brazilian Government at EMBRAPA (Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation), which is a company from one of the Ministries of the Brazilian Federal Government (Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply) as Intellectual Property Analyst.
Nowadays I’m part of the group which is in charge of the analysis regarding patent searches, patentability, protection strategies, freedom-to-operate analysis and related IP issues coming from the technologies developed by the 47 research centers of EMBRAPA. The areas of analysis are multidisciplinary, they came from basic process development for treating raw agricultural materials to new advances in biotechnology.
