Kalpana GargWhats up with the companies like Samsung and Google that they have started Patenting in mechanical domain especially vehicles..recently Google filed a patent on gesture based control on cars (Link- http://www.electronista.com/articles/13/10/03/hands.free.input.for.stereo.climate.control/) and a patent on self driving mode for cars (US 8078349)..Does it smell again of a troll in another domain?

David HeimannI agree Kalpana, the environment around Apple's innovation in certainly interesting. It remains to be seen what they do with their liquidmetal technology which has been widely talked about for years now. One can also say that Apple's innovations (such as the Apple Store and focusing on HTML 5 over flash) has been hard to recognize until after the fact, when it becomes obvious how monumental those decisions were.
