Biography
Dr.Veluvolu research interests are in the areas of nonlinear estimation and filtering, sliding-mode control, adaptive signal processing, modeling and simulations, brain-computer interface, biomedical signal processing, and surgical robotics. Since 2009, he has been with the College of IT Engineering, Kyungpook National University, Daegu, Korea where he is currently an Associate Professor. He received the Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2006. From 2006 to 2009, he was a Research Fellow with the Biorobotics Group, Robotics Research Center, Nanyang Technological University. He was also a Visiting Professor to Nanyang Technological University, Singapore during the period 2009 to 2010 and University of Valenciennes, France in 2012. He has led and/or participated in around several research projects funded by government, industry, and universities in Singapore and South Korea. He has been on several technical committees and session chair in several international conferences. Dr. Veluvolu has more than 90 international academic publications including more than 30 journal papers, more than 50 conference papers and 2 patents (1 pending). He is currently an Associate Editor for the following journals: Mathematical Problems in Engineering, Journal of Control Science and Engineering, and Scientific World Journal. He is also serving as Review Editor for Frontiers in Neuroengineering. Dr. Veluvolu is a senior member of IEEE.
