Jon La BreaPatent is a property right. If somebody is infringing it, as long as you have the right, you should be able to stop them. Making a product or not, doesn't change your right.

Zoe BollingerI completely agree Jon, and I think it is important that we don't let the rights granted by the US patent system be eroded due to a narrative that labels anyone who asserts their right a "troll." The USPTO is actively working to improve patent quality, and throwing more legal reform into the mix could just set the system back.

Jon La BreaI agree. But with the unified system, we will see even more improvement in the court system in the coming years. We also need to see new procedures for nullifying patents post grant. IPR has got some serious traction in the US.
