Biography | Imran Yousaf is the Sr. Technical Advisor / Sr. Well Engineering / Wells Drilling Manager (Deepwater, HPHT, and Exploration & Special Projects), Operations & New opportunities at Chevron, currently seconded to Angola/ Houston. Previously, he was the Director of Drilling and Operations at PTTEP Here, he directs, supervises and co-ordinates on-shore and offshore drilling, completion, testing and other associated operations through the drilling supervisory team in order to deliver a safe, cost-effective operation and well quality. Mr. Yousaf has over 23 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry; he has supervised the design, drilling and completion of over 1500 wells during this time; his expertise lies in drilling deep and shallow wells, Wildcat and development; abnormal and subnormal pressure regimes and tectonically high pressure formations. Earlier, from 2005 to 2011, he was a Manager of Well Engineering, Planning and Operations, and a Senior Engineer at Shell International (Nigeria), part of SNEPCO. Here, he oversaw the execution of design and engineering, procurement, drilling and completion of all wells; additionally, he facilitated training and development of the company's drilling engineers. Prior to this, he was a Senior Engineer at Petroleum Development of Oman, a hydrocarbon exploration and production company. Here, he managed, coordinated and supervised the on-site drilling, completion, testing and work-over operations on all rigs to ensure a safe, efficient and cost effective working environment. Previously, he worked at ENI Pakistan Limited. Mr. Yousaf holds a Bachelors' degree in Chemical Engineering, a Masters' degree in Petroleum Engineering and an MBA degree. | |
