Government Shutdown's effect on Startups Seeking Patents

As the government shutdown is about to enter its third week, Fox Business has taken a look at the potential impact it will have on startups with the USPTO if it draws out any longer. While currently operating on reserves from fee collections, the USPTO will be forced to scale back its operation if the government does not fully re open within the next two weeks. As smaller companies look to file patents, their needs may then not be met as expected.
