Tech Conglomerates Express Concern Over Europe's Patent Reform

As a unifying European patent reform draws closer, 16 companies sent a letter to European officials voicing their concern about the proposed changes. The companies, inlcuding Google, Apple, Microsoft, and Samsung, are worried that the bifurcation will lead to strange rulings based on a patent that hasn't been tried for validity. They're also concerned that the injunctions can lead to a troll with a low quality patent forcing companies to pay high royalties or risk a Europe-wide ban of their product.
