Teresa Stanek Rea Announces Plan to Step Down as head of the USPTO

Stanek Rea who has been the acting head of the USPTO since David Kappos' departure in January announced that she is planning to step down. Despite being regarded as one of the favorites to occupy the permanent post as head of the USPTO she has decided to move on. Rea did not announce a timeline for her departure.
