Evidence of Use Studies

As a member of the Patexia research community you are probably quite familiar with our prior art search contests by now. These projects have solicited your help in finding publicly available documentation that discloses the same idea found in an issued patent, before the date that the patent in question was filed. The goal here is to invalidate said patent and you have done a great job in helping us accomplish that.

We are currently working on a new contest type, something we like to refer to as an "Evidence of Use Study." The goal of an evidence of use study is to find examples of commercially available products that use or incorporate the technology disclosed in an issued patent, after the date that the patent in question was filed.

The difference here may seem subtle but there are some changes in the contest rules and prize distribution that you should review before putting together your submission. You can view the expanded contest rules page here and for more on how to enter and win an evidence of use study please see the Evidence of Use Contest Rules page.

We expect to have this contest posted before the weekend and if not then certainly before the holidays take full effect. As always let us know if you have any questions and we would love to hear your feedback once the new contest goes live.

Good luck and happy holidays.

Best Regards,

The Patexia Team
